chapter 6 loneliness
Daiskay awoke with a start, looking around to find that he was still in doll form and on the window sill. the colors of nana's room where brighter then he remembered them to be for the past 12 days. he also had a frightening dream about nana not being of this world more then the normal out of the blue crazy nana. he stretched and was startled to see that it felt good, he could feel! getting to the edge and jumping off the sill like he did every morning was so painful that he dared not move today. Nana got up and seeing daiskay on the ground motionless was in a panic. " omg daiskay are you ok? mabye this is it he turned into a doll." she started to sniff and got teary eyed "what am i gunna do?" daiskay got off the floor for the pain went away and patted nana's leg "i'm ok you shouldn't worry, i just got feeling back into my limbs and what i did yesterday apparently i can't do any longer." nana's tears turning in a quarter of a second into a smile and utter joy. daiskay was taken slightly aback by this sudden switch in emotion. "that's great when visiting teacher today we have great news!" nana said joyfully. since this was wonder to behold from 12 days of nothing happening nana skipped school and went straight to the teachers house.
when she got to the door, the teacher was standing in the door way yawning, "why are you not at school?" he said grumpily. "he got feeling back!" nana exclaimed the teacher gave daiskay a look of utter distaste and sighed "about time. so why are you not in school?" nana was excited and asked the teacher what all of this meant."what it means? well that's simple in the next few days daiskay will become human, or will die" the teacher replied eying Nana. her face changed from joy to utter despair "what he could die!?! no how can i prevent that teacher! that can't be so" again tears coming like soldiers to battle. the teacher seeing her in such a state, laughed and slide down the frame "nana i feel so bad for you. your husband will take advantage of your nativity one day. he will not die the life energies yesterday sparked growth, that the boy wanted but was holding back him self back from " nana breathed a sigh in response and gave daiskay a look that annoyed him emencly and thanked the teacher and came to school late after a small celebration with diaskay by eating ice cream in a cafe.
the day seemed to drag on unbearably for nana, so she made do by harassing daiskay about the cafe being a date, he would flush and get angry and try to hit her with a pencil.
the day wore thin, and by night fall nana had exhausted all her energy and all of diaskays energy too. he understood what the teacher was saying about the holding ones self back, but he felt that the days that he had spent with nana were the most fun he had in a long time and wished them to continue, in a way. nana seeming to sense his thoughts sighed "what an adventure and yet we all move on," she smiled at diaskay, a small slightly sad smile "but all things that start come to an end and i will treasure the memories" she continued as she slowly looked at the stars twinkling out of her window.
daiskay could tell she was as sad as he was about the whole thing "you know i could just stay this way a little longer, since i am controlling this growth or none growth thing...", said carefully putting his hand on her arm, he could feel the warmth from her arm, now stronger then ever before. Nana looked shocked and saddened even more "no! why would you do that? change is " her voice started to crack and she turned to look at the stars again "g..g..good and with...without change n..othing can move forward." she was crying now but still looking at the sky.

the next morning daiskay noticed that he grew during the night and was now not on the window sill but in bed with nana. the previous night nana was worried that daiskay might hurt him self and insisted on him sleeping with her, but he basically grew back into his regular form during the night. turning towards her small sleeping frame, he noticed how much smaller she actually was, he couldn't help but chuckle at the sudden change in view he had of her.
the alarm rang and she started to move automatically to the clock to turn it off, but hit something fleshy and soft instead, what was it? he smacked it, grabbing at parts, till a hand removed hers, a that point she awoke seeing daiskay in full form for the first time. retreating her hand she blushed and whispered "i'm sorry" daiskay was amused at that and started to poke her, till she exploded from bed "hey! whats the big idea!" she said hands on her hips scowling "i was just giving you a taste of what you did to me everyday" he smiled looking up at her. she blushed and jumped from bed.
she gave daiskay her foster fathers cloths and they headed to the teachers house in awkward silence.
daiskay could really tell the teacher wasn't a morning person last time, but now the glaring had become even worse. the teacher stared at him and then at nana, finally letting them into the room that didn't change at all since the last time he had saw it.
"well congradulations you came back to a full human, it will take about three days for me to fix everybody's memory, but i can change the basic 12 right now if you wish" he said and smirked as nana was staring at the bookcase at the farthest corner of the room. "or you can stay with nana for three days" the teacher glanced at nana, who was waving her hands in utter despair.
diaskay could see the teacher was picking on nana again and coughed to get his attention "i would like to go home now if that is possible" he said looking at the teacher, nana sighed in relief and went back to the "browsing" of the bookshelf.
the teacher clicked his tongue and shoved daiskay into the bed room as he said "takes time these things rest while you can, you won't want to stay and watch will...." and the rest was a mumble. sitting down on the messy bed daiskay looked around the bare walls and figured why not, as he was falling asleep he heard nana's and the teachers conversation.
"so, how was it?" said the teacher in a mocking tone
"was what teacher?" nana asked hesitantly
"oh but you spent the night, and you are acting strange" the teacher remarked
"i ....i.... am not used to the human...body it acts strange in the home..."she was cut off by the teachers laugh
"the human body your going to blame that? nana i thought you had more sense then that!" he said
" not my fault!" nana said hysterically "anyways it does not matter, this all ends today, why are you dragging things?"
daiskay fell asleep.

the teacher was writing on the board and daiskay awoke, when did he fall alseep that was such a weird dream. class finished quickly and he noticed something odd, his P.E jacket was all dusty as if it was left in the class room for a long time but how could that be he brought it this morning... he disregarded it and ran to P.E, passing a small student with an odd hat who gave him a sad smile.
today seemed to be one of those days.

nana watched daiskay playing in P,E " for change to take place there needs an ending" and looked at the sky.
